Hello!

I'm Kelsey Wyman, the owner of Love Meets Therapy. My journey into creating this private practice stems from a deep-seated dream to revolutionize mental health care, fostering inclusivity that acknowledges the influence of relationships on our well-being. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington and my journey has been shaped by diverse experiences and a commitment to holistic well-being.

My current therapeutic modalities were developed from foundations skills based on emotionally focused therapy, internal family systems, humanistic therapy, positive psychology, somatic therapy, and trauma-focused healing techniques. I love working with clients who are exploring and nurturing relationships in all their diverse forms – from the intricate tapestry of our connection with ourselves to the dynamics of partnerships, friendships, familial bonds, and the complexities of polyamorous relationships. It is my belief that by embracing and understanding the multifaceted nature of our relationships, we unlock new dimensions of mental health and personal growth.

My training extends beyond the typical structures of obtaining a therapy license. While I am trained in the renowned Gottman Method, bringing evidence-based principles to relationship therapy, emphasizing effective communication and connection, and am also trained in alternative approaches to connecting with the world around us. I completed my Yoga Teacher Training, through the University of Washington, and incorporate mindfulness and body-awareness practices into therapeutic sessions. I have undergone training on Advanced Clinical Sexology through the Northwest Institute on Intimacy. I received my Permaculture Design Certificate through the Women’s Permaculture Guild and I believe that building deeper relationships with place can facilitate deeper relationships with ourselves. I have also trained and worked as a facilitator at HAVN Healing Center, specializing in supporting clients through integrating their ketamine therapy sessions. Before beginning work as a therapist, I acquired a decade of experience helping children with social and emotional learning in the public school system. All of these experiences, while not necessarily directly linked to my social work career path, have expanded my understanding of alternative therapeutic interventions and their potential impact on mental health.

Beyond methodologies and techniques, my genuine desire to help people foster better connections and understanding in their relationships is the driving force behind every aspect of my practice.
